Back from a rejuvenating magical forest solstice celebration!
I hope you all got a chance to be outdoors & soak up the pure solar love on the longest day
of the year. I'm all charged up and now in the sun filled studio creating away.
New goddess gear is about to be unveiled, so excited.
with so much love,
Xx SR

Golden Sun

In these hot hazy summer days, I seem only be dreaming of cool pools,
ice cream sandwiches & hammocks,  but the creating must carry on.
The new relocated SR studio is coming together very nicely & some very delicious
treats are soon to hit the shop on the long awaited summer solstice new moon.
Till then I'll be seeking peace in the simple pleasures under the golden sunshine.
How are you all spending these golden days?

Happy Beltaine

The ancient festival of Beltaine is celebrated around May 1st.
It's a time to celebrate the earth in bloom, fire, abundance, fertility
and all the bounty of natures beauty. Artist Kathy Klein captures the
spirit of Beltaine so beautifully with her Danmala flower works,
I couldn't resist sharing! Mandalas are so breathtaking beautiful,
especially when there made of flowers! Can't wait to create one of my own.
 Happy May celebrations lovelies!

Happy Earth Day 2012

As we are all bound to this lovely planet of ours,
why not take a day to celebrate every inch of Gaia's glory!
Happy earth day everyone!

As part of my deep appreciation for our beautiful planet,
I'm creating a gaia color palette for inspiration
and a resource for designers of natures wonderment.
Gaia palettes will be released bi weekly, and taken from my
photography of the details of the natural world.
Hope it brings joy & wonder to you all!

Serenity within the Woods

Spirituality & mystical earth nature is something I've always been inclined towards.
So when given the opportunity for a residency at a forest monastery retreat,
the answer was simple, Yes!  So for the next while I'll be aligning my chakras
meditating in the forest at a serene theravada buddhist monastery.

What are some of your experiences with meditation & consciousness lovelies?

Moon Madness

Intensity is in the air, with solar storms and moon energies I am reminded
of this day one year ago traveling india. The crazy festival of color
"Holi" what an amazing way to celebrate the arrival of spring!
Wishing everyone an energizing and wonderful
full moon and a happy holi!

Pisces March Forward

It's March! Thought I'd share some beauties blooming around the studio,
plus a hinting peek at treasures to come. Some exciting things are in the works
& new spontaneous adventures are on the horizon,
so stay tuned into this space in the weeks to come!
Hope this juicy time of year brings out the best in us all.
xx SR

Liberating Light

The presence of spring slowly emerges.
Our time patiently awaiting the suns return is coming to an end.
Nature peeks out after a dark winter in small pops of color. In the prolonged evening sunlight,
I notice small buds on trees and my sage plant sprouting small purple flowers.
With the glowing essence of this magical time of renewal just around the corner,
I'm reminded of the light and space works of artists James Turrell.
His latest ongoing work "Roden Crater" in the Arizona desert has me totally mesmerized,
as does the below video of his piece at Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg museum, in Germany.
I hope to one day I get to wonder out to the desert to experience it for myself.
In homage to the shinning light,
enjoy, Xx SR▲

Winter Solstice

via paleocave
At the Winter Solstice the sun is reborn. Solstice meaning sun stands still.
December 21 is the day with the shortest daylight hrs.                             From here onwards the hours lengthen, and light returns to the world.
Have a wonderful winter solstice &
happy holiday celebrations lovelies.

Have a wonderful lunar eclipse & last full moon of 2011!

Winter Solstice

Long walks through the forest, collecting natures treasures before the white blanket covers all.
Making tall grass crowns a reminder of sun filled days. My ever growing collection of seeds continues, these fuzzy seeds of a unknown tree, my mom brought to me from a trip to texas.
Welcoming the cold darkness time of introspection, till the sun peaks out again.
Have a wonderful winter solstice lovelies.

all in the name

a little trip to the botanical gardens had me amusing
at the botanical vs. common names of plant species.

Winds are growing colder and adventures are on my mind,
dreaming of northern mystical skies whilst I create by the fire.
What are you dreaming of lovelies?

Happy Summer Solstice

As the sun spirals its longest dance,
Cleanse us!
As nature shows bounty and fertility
Bless us!
Let all things live with loving intent
And to fulfill their truest destiny.
Happy Summer Solstice Everyone!

Lunar Phases

Enjoy the magical full moon energies everyone,
maybe release the inner wild side and howl at it!

Yarn Bombing

I've been seeing many wonderfully
random tree installations
popping up all over the city this summer.
Here is some yarn bombing that
appeared in the local park.

"Let go of the idea that the
path
will lead you to your goal.
The truth is that
with each step
we take, we arrive.

Repeat that to yourself
every morning:

‘I’ve arrived.’
That way you’ll find
it much
easier to stay in touch
with each second of your day."
